STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Science, technology, engineering, and math is known as STEM has become a major focal point in today's schools. However, many educators are proposing that art be added to the spectrum to form STEAM. This idea of adding arts to STEM has recently gained a lot of momentum. The "A" in STEAM doesn't just represent the arts but is more of a broad term that describes liberal arts, language arts, social studies. Physical arts. Fine arts and music. It is putting the fun back in functional, applying creative thinking to STEM projects, and igniting student's imagination and creativity, encouraging students to use their artistic talents to spark innovative thinking. Business and industry are broadcasting that future-ready employees need to have multiple areas of expertise or at least appreciate how a range of skills can be beneficial. We encourage you to engage your children and young adult about STEAM
Aspiring Generations Foundations STEAM Camp consists of exploration where your pre-teen or early teen will create and experiment with challenging projects.
Our STEAM projects include coding and the construction of a pre-designed electronic kit. Campers will also receive soldering training to complete device fabrication. Campers will own all devices built as a reminder of their accomplishments and inspiration to continue exploring. Coding projects include app and or video game construction. Campers engage in fun-filled offsite educational field trips.
It is our goal to plant a seed of interest in STEAM disciplines in young adults that will hopefully blossom into passions, careers, businesses, and hobbies—enrolling your child in a camp that could change their perception of science, technology, art, and math. Creating a healthy and appreciation for these subjects will prepare youth for the 4th Industrial Revolution that our nation is leading towards and the foundation for a brighter future.
We believe that the new interest will translate into academic improvements and success.
